EBSU 2023/2024 Cut Off Mark- We are pleased to inform all our readers especially those who made the Ebonyi State University their first choice when registering for JAMB that the cut off mark has been announced to the general public. Both the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board[JAMB] and the management of the school have announced their cut off for this academic session screening exercise and we are going to state both of them on this page.
The EBSU cut off mark is a score candidates interested in registering for the PostUtme/DE Screening exercise must meet to be eligible to register. Those who do not meet the score are free to obtain a JAMB change of institution form and switch to another institution with a lesser score.
EBSU 2023/2024 Cut Off Mark[Jamb/Departmental]
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board[JAMB] official cut off mark is 140 while the general departmental cut off is 140 though some departments have raised it to be higher. Below is the departmental cut off mark for each of the following departments
- FACULTY OF MEDICINE
i. Medicine and surgery: Approved minimum score – 260
ii. Anatomy: Approved minimum score – 180
iii. Physiology: Approved minimum score – 180 - FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
i. Nursing Science: Approved minimum score – 260
ii. Medical Laboratory Science: Approved minimum score – 250 - FACULTY OF LAW: Approved minimum score – 240
- FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCE
i. Accountancy/Accounting: Approved minimum score – 180
ii. Public Administration: Approved minimum score – 150
iii. Other Management courses – 140 - FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES
i. Mass Communication: Approved minimum score – 200
ii. Political Science: Approved minimum score – 170
iii. Economics: Approved minimum score – 160
iv. Other Social Sciences and Humanities Courses – 140 - FACULTY OF SCIENCE
i. Computer Science: Approved minimum score – 200
ii. Applied Microbiology: Approved minimum score – 160
iii. Biochemistry – 160
iv. Other Science Courses – 140 - FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES
AND MANAGEMENT
i. Food Science and Technology – 150
ii. Other Agriculture and natural resources

From the list outlined above, you can see that competitive departments tend to have higher cut off marks when compared to other departments which are less competitive. These are not all the departments in the institution but these are some of the few we were able to get information about their cut off mark.
