Gates Cambridge 2024 Scholarship For International Students

Are you looking for a Postgraduate scholarship to aid in furthering your education? The Gates Cambridge Scholarships are among the most sought-after programs for postgraduate students who want to study at the University of Cambridge.

The scholarship is highly competitive, and it is estimated that only 1.3% of applicants tend to receive the award. The award is sponsored by the renowned Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the prize is valued at £30,000 – £60,000 (annually).

A total of 80 students will be awarded, and two-thirds of the total number will go to Ph.D. students. Approximately 25 awards will be available in the US round and 55 in the International round.

Eligibility For The Gates Cambridge Scholarship Program

You can apply for the scholarship if you meet the following conditions:

  • Are you a citizen of any other country apart from the United Kingdom
  •  Interested in pursuing a postgraduate degree in the United Kingdom? This can either be a Ph.D. (full-time or part-time)/MLitt (full-time)/One-year postgraduate course (full-time), with some exceptions, which will be outlined below.

The following programs are not eligible under the Gates Cambridge scholarship program:

  • Any Undergraduate degree, such as a BA (undergraduate) or BA affiliated (a second BA)
  •  MASt courses
  •  Master of Business (MBA)
  •  Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) and Global EMBA
  •  Master of Finance (MFin)
  •  Executive Master of Accounting
  •  Business Doctorate (BusD)
  •  PGCE
  •  MBBChir Clinical Studies
  •  MD Doctor of Medicine degree (6 years, part-time, Home students only)
  •  Graduate Course in Medicine (A101)
  •  Part-time degrees other than the PhD
  •  Non-degree courses

Gates Cambridge Scholarship Program 2024 Application Procedures

There will be an entry in October 2024, so visit the Gates Cambridge application portal www.gatescambridge.org to apply for the scholarship program. The scholarship program is also open to those studying at the Gate Cambridge scholarship.
