Udacity scholarship is sponsored by Udacity, Inc., an American for-profit educational organization founded in 2011 by Sebastian Thrun, David Stavens, and Mike Sokolsky. Udacity mainly offers online courses and partners with different organizations to train people in the IT, nanodegree, and Artificial Intelligence sectors.
On this page, we will explore the various categories of scholarships offered by Udacity and the application guidelines for each of them.
The scholarship programs offered by Udacity are categorized into five, namely:
1. AWS AI & ML SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM ADVANCED COHORT
This scholarship stems from the partnership between Amazon and Udacity and aims to offer 2,500 scholarships to high school and college-age students. The program is open to those above the age of 16 who are currently enrolled in a high school and identify as underserved or underrepresented in technology. The nanodegree program falls under this category.
2. COGNIZANT SKILLS ACCELERATOR (CSA): FULL-STACK JAVA PATHWAY
This scholarship is from a partnership forged between Cognizant and Amazon to offer 50 fully-funded course seats to train learners in the latest tech skills, specifically Java FSE.
3.BERTELSMANN NEXT GENERATION TECH BOOSTER
This tech and data scholarship initiative was formed due to the partnership of Amazon and Bertelsmann. The scheme aims to sponsor between 10,000 and 15,000 persons, and it has two phases, namely Phase I and Phase II.
4. ONETEN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The OneTen/BIT Scholarship Program aims to help those who want to advance their business analytics, digital marketing, or front-end web development skills.
5.Advance Africa Access Bank Scholarship
It is Open to Africans due to Access Bank’s and Udacity’s partnership. The program aims to provide 5,000 scholarships to those who meet the following criteria:
- STEM graduate or demonstrated evidence of intense interest in pursuing an IT and Digital career (supporting documents must be submitted during application)
- Have access to a laptop
- Have access to a solid data network and power supply
- Commitment to the time required for the program
- Must give pre-consent during application for Udacity to share data with the bank
- Must be between 20 – 30 years
