ESUT is the state University in Enugu state while the Federal one is the University of Nigeria, Nsukka which is also known as UNN. There are two cut off marks namely JAMB and Departmental cut off marks which would be announced for the academic session.

The cut off mark announced by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board[JAMB] is 140 while the one announced by the institution is 160 and this implies that candidates ought to score at least 160 before they are eligible for the screening exercise.
Courses like Medicine & Surgery, Accounting, Nursing, Banking & Finance, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science, and Law are urged to score very high in order to boost their chances due to the competitive nature of these courses.
