The NCS Screening exercise is conducted with the aim of reducing the number of applicants to the required quote. After the application deadline, a list of shortlisted persons will be released for the screening which will most likely be a CBT examination to be written at specific locations.
After the screening exercise, those who meet the cut off mark will be shortlisted, and if the required quota is met, they will have to proceed immediately to the training exercise. The names of shortlisted persons for both the screening and training exercise will be available on the NCS Recruitment application portal vacancy.customs.gov.ng.
We will like to make it clear that there is a difference between the screening and training exercise. The training is the last phase of the recruitment exercise that precedes the screening. During the training, selected persons will be made to undergo rigorous exercises to prepare them for the task ahead.

Before the screening to training are conducted, a schedule will be published online and it will be available on the official website and the social media accounts of NCS. The schedule will contain the Zone, time, and date for the screening exercise.
Each zone will have a certain number of applicants allocated to it, a center, and time allocated to it. During the screening, there are requirements for candidates also, there are prohibited items that must not be seen around the CBT center.

The training is usually conducted after the screening exercise and a schedule is also released before it commences. The training spans six months and is carried out at the Nigeria Customs Service training school in Kano and Lagos.
