This is to bring to the notice of those who made the University of Calabar[UNICAL ] their first choice when registering for the PostUtme/DE Screening exercise that the cut off mark has now been announced. The cut off is one of those criteria that would be used to access candidates who applied for admission into the institution alongside other things which would be stated in the PostUtme/DE Registration guidelines.
The management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board[JAMB] usually announces its cut off mark on a yearly basis before the admission screening exercise begins in earnest. This session’s own has been announced by both the management of the institution and JAMB and it would be stated below.
University Of Calabar[UNICAL] 2023/2024 Cut Off Mark
The official JAMB and Departmental cut off mark is 140 which means that candidates must score at least 140 before they can be eligible to register for the exercise. Regardless of that score, those who selected competitive courses like Medicine & Surgery, Law, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Science are urged to ensure that they try to score at least 210 because of the nature of competition such courses have when compared to the other non-competitive courses.
What Of Those Who Do Not Meet The Minimum Cut Off Mark?
Many might be asking if it’s compulsory to meet the cut off mark before proceeding to register for the Post UTME/DE Screening exercise and the answer is Yes. Those who did not meet the minimum cut off mark but still made UNICAL their first choice have two options. The first is to obtain a JAMB change of course form while the other one is to obtain a change of institution form.
